Great place love the lake
I've used this ramp for day and night trips for years. It is well positioned for getting launched mid-lake above Browns Bridge if you want to work north into either of the two main river branches. I like it that it is remote, but it can be a bit spooky coming back in after dark. They've done a reasonably good job keeping the main light working, but there was a 6 month period where it was out, but is working as of this writing.
Nice quiet place for a picnic
As of this writing they have also repaired the dock which had taken a couple seriously hard knocks over the past couple years. The sharp, bent metal has been removed and new wood corners and rubber trim has been added making the dock "like new".
Only problem with this ramp is that it is fairly short and one of the first to be unusable when the water starts dropping. There is a large drop off at the end of the concrete and I've seen people pop trailer tires banging into the edge of this when pulling out during very low water conditions.
I would just like to let everyone know that the pictures above were taken during the lake Lanier drought a couple years ago and the lake is filled and beautiful now. (the pictures need to be renewed)
great little park. has play aaa really for kids a sand beach tablets grills and boat ramp
I fish within sight of this ramp a lot at night and it appears the local police / sheriff has put this ramp on a regular route as seeing a sheriff car or two per night has not been unusual.
