No Communication Is An inderstatement. My mother is a patient, sent by ambulance from Union General HospitAL for observation at NE Georgia Medical! That's an oxymoron! Then, they did a couple of tests but could not give us the results of them even though we waited for hours. Then, they said the doctor is making rounds. Yay! Next hour, yes he's still here. Yes he is planning to come visit your room. Next hour, you're on the last hall he visists, that's why it's taking so long. Next hour, yes he's still coming. Next hour, I don't know but I will find out. Next hour, oh he left, what is your concern? What? She might go home today. Maybe tomorrow. She is supposed to have a heart cath procedure Moday, or sometime next week. What? What? It's after 9 o'clock and I have waited here, 2 hours from home, for a doctor who never showed, inquiring
Very unprofessional on every level. There is no uniform standards, so you can never tell if it's your Nurse or Tech or what? They assigned an LPN to a patient needing IV antibiotics. So she had to have someone else come administer IV meds. Why would you assign someone that can't do the job?
As a former employee, I would recommend people turn else where to get treatment. The management here isn't worth much and for people trying to get a job here, do not waste your time. Depending on the floor you work on, nurses can be two faced and have an agenda out to get you. This hospital is all about money and not much appreciation goes into the employees working here. They would rather short staff the hospital and work employees like slaves in order to save money than to be well equipped to handle the work load. The management doesn't do anything to change and adapt and doesn't seem to take complaints and concerns too seriously as nothing ever gets done about certain issues. I for one am glad to be done with this place. Only reason I gave this hospital 1 star is because i have had the privilege to work alongside very few hard working and caring people. Those few people deserve some recognition for what they do. Hope this review helps.
of nurses who have no information. I am tired and hungry and now I am extremely angry to be treated with such disrespect. I hope I am.never here again and if I have my way, my family won't ever be here either.
The Hospitalist that saw the patient was literally looking at her notes the whole time and had clearly not given any thought to the patient condition. She actually took out her personal cell and texted while in the room while smiling at her screen like some teenager. Then had the nerve to act like we were inconveniencing her by asking about the care.
From Miami during Hurricane Irma, dad needed dialysis. Nurse Leanne, was the best nurse, she was caring, patient and took care of my dad, like he was family. My dad not such a great patient, but he was so happy with overall treatment from this hospital. Much better service than Miami for sure. He was not treated as a number, but a family member. 5 stars undoubtedly!!. Kutos to Leanne and the other nurses as well. Keep up the great work. RSingh, Miami. 9/11/17.
I worked for Negmc for 8 years never a bad review or written up for anything gave a months notice when I left the only thing I did wrong was on my confidential exit interview I told the HR director (Winston) that I was unhappy with the ethics of our manager for bringing in the leads girlfriend in and moved staff from jobs that we worked hard to get cross trained into..so she was put into the position with no experience ??? now I’m on a no rehire status not that I would go back !!! but it hurt me with other jobs when they check your job history and your on a do not rehire status that’s not right to do to good employees !!!! the staff and physicians I worked with was great just if your not in there click look out !!!!! And don’t trust HR your exit interview it isn’t confidential
You have to prod them along to do even the most basic parts of their job. If you don't, the nurses here are content to stand around talking and looking in the internet all day while their patients go uncared for.
